Why the name "Powers Knowledge"?
The name Powers Knowledge draws inspiration from philosopher Michel Foucault’s idea that power and knowledge are deeply interconnected. Foucault argued that knowledge is never neutral - it both shapes and is shaped by systems of power. Those who hold knowledge influence how rules, norms, and truths are defined; and, in turn, power determines which kinds of knowledge are valued or dismissed.
At Powers Law, we embrace this insight as a reminder that understanding - especially in fields like compliance, governance, and regulation - is itself a form of empowerment. Through Powers Knowledge, we aim to make complex legal concepts and regulatory requirements accessible, actionable, and equitable - helping community health centers harness knowledge not just to comply, but to lead with integrity and confidence.

How do I show that I attended a training?
After attending a training, Powers Knowledge will automatically generate a Certificate of Attendance to document your participation. You will be able to download it through the corresponding training module.
Does this count for continuing education credits?
The automated Certificate of Attendance is not proof of continuing education credits. In some cases, the Certificate of Attendance may qualify as written proof of attendance for continuing education units in a certain program. We recommend that you check with your licensure or credentialing program to verify documentation requirements.
I purchased a training but cannot attend. Can I transfer my seat to somebody else?
Each of our trainings includes access to the on-demand recording. If you must transfer your seat to another staff member, please contact us to discuss available options.
