During a March 5, 2026 webinar, HRSA announced a demonstration project for one- and two-day Operational Site Visits (OSVs). The pilot, expected to begin in the second quarter of FY 2026, will include 9–15 randomly selected health centers and is intended to improve OSV efficiency and effectiveness.
Unlike the traditional three-day OSV, a significant portion of the review will be conducted through desk audits of select Compliance Manual chapters. Other core elements of the OSV process—such as the opportunity to resolve conditions through the Compliance Resolution Opportunity—will remain unchanged. Selected health centers will be notified by HRSA.
