Strengthening FTCA Risk Assessments: Addressing Common Deficiencies for 2026 Compliance

In response to 2026 FTCA deeming application reviews, the FTCA Division of HRSA has issued a series of warning notices identifying critical deficiencies in health centers’ quarterly risk assessments. While these notices stopped short of disapproval, they underscore the urgent need for more robust documentation, analysis, and planning to ensure continued FTCA coverage.

Join us for a focused webinar that breaks down the warning notice language and outlines what health centers must do differently before the next FTCA deeming cycle in 2026 for Calendar Year 2027 deeming. This session will walk participants through the key required elements of an FTCA-compliant risk assessment—including scope and methodology, identification and evaluation of risks, and the development of actionable, prioritized mitigation plans.
This session is essential for risk managers, compliance officers, clinical leadership, and anyone involved in preparing or reviewing FTCA deeming applications.
  1. Creating detailed narratives that clearly demonstrate compliance
  2. Effectively using tools like checklists and surveys to support—but not substitute for—risk analysis
  3. Linking risk assessments to malpractice prevention and patient safety goals
  4. Preparing documentation that aligns with FTCA reviewer expectations
